Baugher's has voluntarily recalled ALL unpasteurized cider. For those of you who may have purchased cider last week, please:
- Immediately dispose of any remaining cider
- Immediately disposed of the container
- Immediately wash your hands, thoroughly
- At your convenience, stop in the shop for a full refund. No need to return containers or show any proof of purchase
- If anyone who has consumed this cider experiences any gastrointestinal distress, call your doctor ASAP. E.coli is not to be taken lightly.
Maryland public health officials said a Westminster company has voluntarily recalled call of its apple cider because of its potential to contain the
E. coli bacteria.
The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said Thursday that it was investigating a cluster of seven E. coli infections; three people have been hospitalized.
Officials said the potential association exists with the consumption of unpasteurized Baugher's apple cider.
