Vegetarian Share will consist of fruit & vegetables, only. Items in any given week may include: onions * potatoes * shallots * parsnips * turnips * beets * carrots * apples * apple cider * citrus fruit * white button mushrooms * portabella mushrooms * celeriac * Jerusalem artichokes * Cabbage * Lettuce ......
Full Share will consist of the produce items from the vegetarian share, plus locally sourced meat, dairy, eggs, butter, value added products, baked goods ....
Our sources are: Tuscarora Organic Growers Co-op ( a co-op of 30 plus organic farmers) * Baugher's Orchard * Chesapeake Greenhouses (lettuce) * Uncle Matt's Organic Citrus & Homestead Farms from Florida * Gunpowder Bison Trading Company * Whispering Pines Farm (pork) * Hen's Nest Eggs * Wagner Brother's Meats (beef) * Trickling Springs Creamery .
Through prudent purchasing both the Vegetarian Share & Full Share have been reduced by $10.00 under last year's price. By joining the co-op, you are saving 10% - 15% off retail & supporting our local family farms through the toughest part of the year.
Each week, to facilitate menu planning, we will email the availability list to you. We will post recipes on this blog & encourage you to send in your favorite winter vegetable recipes to:
